About me

Hey, there! I'd like to welcome you into my corner of the internet. Just a disclaimer for you newbies out there: I'm a pretty craaazy person. I love to live life spontaneously. I love to laugh myself through life alongside my five siblings, parents, cousins, and close friends.

The first thing you need to know about me is definitely the most important. I'm a daughter of the Most High King and redeemed, loved, and cherished by Him. He gave His all for me even when I daily forsake Him in the littlest things. I would be nothing without Jesus and having faith in Him is truly a sweet sweet way to experience life. The peace that passes all understanding isn't something that you easily forget. What continually amazes me the most is that through all of my failure, God has never given up on me or refused to forgive me. When I mess up, it's a matter of humbling myself (which isn't an easy thing for me, friends, it really isn't) and repenting of my sin. I hope and pray that each and every one of you will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ - what a wonderful thing it would be to spend eternity together praising our Lord! That being said, if you have any questions whatsoever about my faith, please reach out and ask them. I would be more than happy to have a conversation with you.

You're probably aware that I'm a photographer (hence all the photos...). As captured by my extremely talented friend, the stunning sunset photo is a pretty accurate representation of yours truly. I'm right in my natural habitat with the sky completely ablaze, my camera in hand, and a dear friend to take pictures of. Photography has been an important piece of my life for about 6 years now (4, if we're getting specific). I love to practice the art of capturing things as beautifully as possible. Playing with angles and light are frequent past times of mine. And, of course, if Aliyah is around, I have a cooperative model to practice on. Siblings aren't as... compliant. ;)

From a young age, I found myself scribbling down things on bits of paper. I wrote my first story before I could even read, through drawing a progression of pictures. Not a real story, of course, but it fascinates me how my imagination worked at that age. All that to say, I enjoy recording the stories in my head and the words that are on my heart. I accomplish these things mainly through two outlets: fiction writing and poetry.

A few of my other, more self-explanatory obsessions include good literature, different types of music, Call the Midwife, & scrolling through Pinterest.

I've introduced myself to you and I would love to get to know you as well... please don't hesitate to reach out! I love to make friends, and I usually don't bite.

;)

Much love,

Petra
